The Cookie Cabinet

Cookie Cabnet

I was working in my workshop carving a doll for Mrs. Claus when  Auntie Joe entered into my workshop and a  nice sweet  smell followed her in. It was from Mrs. Claus kitchen and it was my favorite food, Chocolate chip cookies. HO HO HO. That sweet smell hung in the air inside my workshop and for some reason I could not keep my mind on the  task at hand.

I just had to have one of those cookies and a large glass of Ice Cold Milk with the ice crystals in the glass.

But  Mrs. Claus would be in her kitchen with her baking assistance’s, so I was about to ask Auntie Joe to give me a hand, but I did not want to get her into trouble.

I went back to work and I then looked up at the clock, it was almost time for the elves hot chocolate break.  Auntie Joe would go and get the elves that were helping Mrs. Claus and then take them to the break room.

The horn sounded and it was time to get in and out of Mrs. Claus kitchen. Auntie Joe was gone and I went over to the fire place in my workshop and I bent over and place my finger alongside of my nose and up the chimney I rose. I did not have far to go to Mrs. Claus Kitchen as  it was next door to my workshop and  I made a leap that would have made my reindeer’s proud. I then hurried to the chimney and down I went. I was in Mrs. Claus kitchen within a flash. I hurried to the Cookie Cabinet that held all of Mrs. Claus best Cookie recipes and lots of samples, Ho Ho. Ho. Shu I told myself.

I looked at the clock with only had a moment to spare before the sound of the horn would be heard all through the castle. I reached onto my belt and took the magic key off of my key ring that opens the lock to Mrs. Claus Cookie Cabinet. Within a second I was in the cabinet. I could feel my heart pounding in my chest,  now the only  hard part was to pick out the best cookies before Mrs Claus comes back with her baking assistance’s.  I  reached into the cabinet for a  freshly baked Chocolate chip cookie. I then felt a tap on my back and someone coughing to get my attention.

I slowly looked back over my left shoulder to see Auntie Joe standing behind me with her finger pointing back towards the fireplace,” You have to leave now Santa!”  Auntie Joe said,”Put those cookies back as Mrs. Claus has them counted and she will know that you were here and  had one or two.” So I put the Cookies back, then closed the doors and locked  the cabinet and headed back to the fireplace. I bent over and placed my finger alongside of my nose and up the chimney I rose.I headed back to my workshop and  down the chimney I went, only to find Mrs. Claus waiting for me in my workshop with her hands behind her back with the look on her face.  She slowly brought her hands  around to show me a Large Glass of Milk with the ice crystals in the glass and a plate of   freshly baked Chocolate chip cookies for me. HO HO HO.
